Dave Bascom was introduced to drawing by his grandmother at an early age. While he liked drawing from the beginning, it was during high school that his passion for painting flared. Today, he works almost exclusively in oils. People he knows are often his subjects. Self-portraits are also a frequent subject.
Dave has been energized by the opportunities to show his work though the Crossroads Arts Alliance. For him, sharing is a great way to foster his creative growth. “I’ve been painting a lot more since I started showing at the gallery.”
