Piedmont Tire and Auto has been a staple in the Gainesville and Haymarket area since 1992. The Wood family has long taken care of the community. In 2004, John Fillipone partnered with Stan Wood to help increase the footprint of Piedmont Tire and Auto and in 2011 they expanded to the Haymarket location.
Fillipone notes, “Since the day we started, community outreach was always part of our mission. We have the best customers in the world, and we want to help our neighbors any way we can.”
Fillipone was born in Boston but moved to Northern Virginia in the first grade. He now lives in Bristow with his two daughters, while also caring for his elderly mother.
Fillipone is proud of the community outreach the Piedmont team has been able to accomplish for the past 20 years. In addition to being a sponsor for the Crossroads Art Alliance, John is involved with various local charities such as Carried to Full Term, an organization that helps single and homeless mothers. He offers support for children with cancer and the local homeless communities. He is also involved with other local leaders to help the community in any way he can.
Piedmont Tire and Auto is very involved with the community and is the number one automotive repair shop in the area.
