Mike Bruckner is an inaugural member of the communications committee. Â After a 40-year career in higher education, Bruckner spent five years working for nonprofits and doing community service in Pennsylvania. Â He was the vice president at Muhlenberg college in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he oversaw marketing, communications, public relations, community relations, the bookstore, and the college radio station. His writing, editing, and PR background have made him a good fit for the Crossroads Arts Alliance.
In 2022, he and his wife moved to Haymarket to be closer to their daughters and three grandchildren.  He lives in the Carter’s Mill development, which is about a mile from the Haymarket Museum.Â
“After devoting so much of my life to nonprofit work and community service, when I was asked to help out with the arts alliance, it seemed like a natural fit,“ says Bruckner.
Mike has worked nine NCAA basketball tournaments, the Sugar Bowl, the Solheim Cup and the US Senior Open. He has also attended seven US Open golf tournaments, one Masters tournament and a US Open tennis tournament.Â
