Learn one of the easiest, accessible fine art mediums – colored pencils. Often overlooked as child’s play, colored pencils are now well-respected in the art community. This medium can produce vibrant colors with a wide-range of effects.

Colored pencils are versatile, relatively inexpensive, and perfect for the mobile artist. They’re also great for the busy person (mom, professional) who doesn’t have time to clean up painting supplies.

In this course you’ll learn introductory concepts including color theory, layering colors, transferring an image, and techniques to render textures. You’ll be guided through the creation of one drawing and get started on your next creation. No previous drawing experience is necessary; and, all skill levels are welcome.

You will need a set of pencils to take this class. You may bring your own or purchase a set of 12 (for $20) on the first day of class. Paper, sharpeners, transfer paper, and all other supplies will be provided.
