Patron Profile: Hidden Julles Cafe

Hidden Jules Cafe is a gem of a local restaurant in downtown Haymarket. Started by the four Lynch brothers, whose families remain involved in the daily operation, the cafe provides organic, locally-sourced  meals at an affordable price. It is not just a restaurant, but a community space for its customers to rest and recharge.

While running a restaurant is much more than a full-time job, Aaron, the youngest Lynch brother, and his wife Amber are also committed to being engaged in the local community. The Lynches have built relationships with local farmers and many other local businesses. For years, they have offered free meals to those in need. So, it is not surprising that the moment the Crossroads Arts Alliance was founded, Hidden Julles stepped forward and offered its help. “It is part of being involved in the community, and we encourage all of our Julles crew to engage our customers the Julles Way,” says Amber. “The Julles Way is a tribute to Julles Lynch, Aaron’s mom and the restaurant’s namesake, who lived her life to help, encourage, love, and engage people in a way that was kind,” explained Amber.

Through their actions, the Lynches have created an atmosphere of caring and engagement among the staff and with their customers….and the food is really good, too.
